1. Tilt Cylinder Drift Isn’t Normal: If your load slowly drifts down or forward while holding position, it’s not just a bad seal or a faulty valve. 5. Sudden Shutdowns with No Error Codes: Hyster cushion electrics like the JXN series sometimes shut down randomly. Technicians discovered that water wicks into the floorboard and pedals, causing false brake input signals. Cleaning or replacing the floor mat wiring often fixes the issue, no control board swap needed.
6. Lack of Lift Power on High-Capacity Models: If your lift suddenly struggles with rated load, especially in H50 or higher models, mechanics note a need to verify lift circuit pressure using a gauge between the pump and the control valve. Restricted flow or valve load from a clogged pickup screen or relief bypass can cut power unexpectedly.
